Position Overview
Customer Service Specialists are responsible for taking leads and turning them into energy audits. These conversations will happen on the phone and in person via canvassing. Other responsibilities include handling customer service issues as they arise and seeing them through until the customer is satisfied. The CSS is also responsible for creating and executing customer acquisition events.
Secondary responsibilities include answering phones, making follow up and courtesy calls, as well as providing general support for the sales team.
Job Requirements
- Sales/Customer Service experience
- Comfort spending long periods of time on the phone
- Superior verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Bank account so direct deposits can be made bi-weekly
- Able to pass a criminal background check and provide work references
Preferred
Ideally, the candidate will have a proven track record demonstrating the ability to consistently close sales over the phone. Direct to consumer sales experience is a plus, but not required. We are looking for a hard worker who believes in our mission, sees the opportunity in residential energy efficiency, and will ultimately be a strong addition to our team and company culture.
Reporting Relationship
Customer Service Specialists report to the Director of Business Development.

Compensation
Annual compensation expectation: $50,000 to $70,000 plus benefits. Compensation is comprised of a base $30,000 plus commission. Benefits include health care as well as 10 days paid vacation, 3 paid sick days, and 6 holidays.
